A scaffold bay is a defined section of the layout between successive supporting members of the scaffold.
What does this mean for your project?
The term helps users discuss a drawing or describe a particular part of an arrangement. Bay dimensions can relate to the system and the constraints around the building. A bay is not a separate room or an automatically allocated storage position for each contractor using the structure.
The frontage measurement in the planner does not determine a confirmed number of bays. Actual elevations include doors, projections and other restrictions. The provider assesses how those conditions fit into an appropriate layout rather than dividing a width by an assumed universal module.
When reporting an issue, use an identifiable location such as the section beside the entrance, together with the drawing where available. This prevents different users interpreting the same bay reference differently. A dimensional alteration remains a change to the complete assessed arrangement.

Are all bays the same length?
That cannot be assumed generally. Dimensions depend on the system, arrangement and site conditions.
Can each bay be used for material storage?
Follow the agreed user information. A bay division alone gives no permission for a particular storage activity or load.
