A bridging arrangement is a structural provision spanning an opening or obstacle within an assessed scaffold design.
What does this mean for your project?
Bridging may arise where a passage, extension or other obstruction lies beneath the work area. The obstacle does not establish that a standard solution is available without further assessment. The complete structure and its supporting conditions remain part of the decision.
Supply dimensions and photographs of the obstruction and explain the function that must remain available below. Identify sensitive roofs, glazing or unknown underlying construction. This information helps the specialist decide what development and assessment are needed for the actual project.
Do not place boards or spare components across an opening as a temporary remedy. A proposed span belongs in professional design and execution. When the location or work changes, the provider also needs to consider whether the earlier assumptions still apply.
